Post-rock legends sleepmakeswaves have released a new video for the live recording of classic track ‘Something Like Avalanches’ taken from their forthcoming record ‘Live at the Metro.’

Watch ‘Something Like Avalanches’ (live) here

Billed as a tribute to the band’s momentous touring schedule over the past decade, the video features highlights from shows all over the world between 2012 to 2018, ranging from pro shot footage to fan bootlegs and everything in between, with a particular focus on the band’s classic ‘Love of Cartography’ era lineup of Alex Wilson, Otto Wicks-Green, Tim Adderley and Jonathan ‘Kid’ Khor. It’s a nostalgic and emotional ride, expertly edited with exquisite timing by long time collaborator Ari Lee of Poema Films.

If ever you needed reminding just how good and life-affirming live music can be – this one’s for you.

'Live at the Metro' is available to listen/order on digital, CD & 2LP here

The band will embark on their first Australian headline tour in 4 years in May 2022 - full dates & details below.
