Japan’s VAMPILLIA have announced their return to Australia, performing headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne as well as the 2015 Adelaide Festival.

Vampillia turn classical music into hardcore – famous for their aggressive, chaotic performances with three eccentric vocalists, a body painted dancer, a macho man with a saw in his hand and a drug queen noise violinist, they call themselves the ‘brutal orchestra’.

After a sold-out Australian tour in 2010 and appearances at SXSW in 2011 and 2012, the band is celebrating the Australian release of the Pitchfork-approved album ‘Alchemic Heart’ and the recent ‘Rule The World/Deathtiny Land’.

Their folk-circus-metal-opera blend presents an indescribable live show – if you don’t understand, you need to come see them.

Their side shows will be supported by folk-prog-metal outfit TROLDHAUGEN who are riding high after the release of their latest album ‘Obzkure Anekdotez For Maniakal Massez’ and a 24-date European tour with pirate-metal giants ALESTORM.

Local supports in Sydney include experimental 7-piece Shanghai, as well as avant-garde outfit Pirate, and a once-off reunion of Sydney’s euphoric instrumental rock outfit Panzer Queen. In Melbourne, further supports will be announced soon.

‘sppears’ and ‘Rule The World/Deathtiny Land’ are out now through Bird’s Robe Records
