Merch sale Friday 1 May-Saturday 2 May 2020 to support artists affected by COVID-19

Hi everyone,

A few weeks ago I put up this post to share how fans can support Bird's Robe acts affected by COVID-19

All the links and info still apply - but here's a quick update:

This Friday 1 May - Saturday 2 May, we're having a merch sale to coincide with the legends at Bandcamp waiving their 10% revenue share again to support artists financially

This 10% is a little but a lot, as it can make all the difference to the costs faced by artists at the moment - from paying rent, production, show cancellation costs and more, without any live touring income available for the foreseeable future.

If you're in a position to help, please do. In particular this weekend, here are 3 big things in BR world you should know about:

We Lost The Sea are celebrating 5 years of Departure Songs by repressing the album on vinyl - AS WELL AS their entire back catalogue - including Departure Songs Live at Dunk!festival, The Quietest Place on Earth, Crimea and their new album Triumph & Disaster. You can order direct from the band at www.welostthesea.bandcamp.com

Also available from our friends at Dunk!records & NEW NOISE CHINA.

Toehider has a brand new album called 'I LIKE IT' out this year and pre-orders are available for vinyl, CD & merch. The first new music from the record 'He's There...And Then He Does That' along with the brand new tune 'Concerning Lix and Fairs' are both streaming now from www.toehider.bandcamp.com

sleepmakeswaves have revealed the artwork for all 3 EPs of their forthcoming 'these are not your dreams' trilogy, along with merch designs & new music at www.sleepmakeswaves.bandcamp.com

More generally, if you just want to support the label, or a variety of artists, you can check out our Bird's Robe bundles available here: https://birdsrobe.bandcamp.com/album/birds-robe-records-sampler-pay-what-you-want

Alternatively, if you can't afford music/merch right now, feel free to add our Spotify playlist here to enjoy on repeat for a few hours/days/weeks/months

Thanks again everyone, Bandcamp will be waiving their revenue share again on Fri 5 June and Fri 3 July, so I will post more news here about future sales as they come up each month.

best,

Mike
