Delta Sleep announce Australian October 2023 tour with SEIMS & YOMI SHIP

UK indie-math-rock quartet DELTA SLEEP have announced their debut Australian tour, visiting Perth, Brisbane, Sydney & Melbourne this October.

Hailed as one of the UK’s most engaging, original and forward thinking groups, over the past decade the band have featured at some of the world’s most impressive festivals, including ArcTanGent, 2000Trees & DAS Fest, as well as headlining their own club shows around the world.

Touring in support of their latest record ‘Spring Island’ has already taken the band across much of the globe, from the UK to mainland Europe and North America.

Originally formed in 2010, Delta Sleep earned critical acclaim for their jangly and airy approach to complex arrangement and song structures, evident on their second full length album ‘Ghost City.’

2021’s ‘Spring Island’ saw further enthusiasm for their memorable and emotive songwriting, with a series of videos made for standout tracks ‘Old Soul’, ‘View To A Fill’ and ‘The Detail.’

Equal parts American Football, Discipline-era King Crimson and Algernon Cadwallader, the band have fused a variety of influences into a unique sound that is beloved by their worldwide cult following.

Of the upcoming Australian tour, the band stated:

Super excited to finally get out to the epic shores of Australia. It's been on our bucket list for nearly a decade now so as you can imagine we are pumped! Every single time we announce a tour we get bombarded with messages from Australian fans asking us to get on a plane and visit...and we finally are...so this one's for you, for everyone who has been waiting patiently for nearly a decade, it's time! Let’s. Go.

Delta Sleep will be joined at all shows by Perth math rock trio YOMI SHIP, fresh off recent supports with prog giants Animals As Leaders, I Built The Sky and last year’s momentous Monolith Festival, which featuring Karnivool, Cog, Plini, sleepmakeswaves & more. Fans of The Mars Volta & Yes will enjoy their multi-faceted and complex prog.
