Yomi Ship Nominated for Three WAMis

Perth's experimental-instrumental-psych-rockers, Yomi Ship, have been nominated for three WA Music Awards (WAMis).

The 2023 nominee list for November’s WAMis celebrates the burgeoning live music scene, and Yomi Ship are highly deserving nominees in the categories of Best Rock Act, Best Drummer/Percussionist and Best Bassist.

Director of Bird's Robe Records, Mike Solo says:

"Yomi Ship are fresh off supporting UK math rockers Delta Sleep around the country. The reception was truly incredible. The quality of their performance, their musicianship, their genuine love for the instrumental, progressive and highly dynamic shades of rock saw them create many new fans! These WAM nominations have been well earned. Good luck, Yomi Ship!"

Yomi Ship has been a consistent and in demand presence in the Perth music scene since 2016, featuring on eclectic mixed line-ups and festivals. Yomi Ship is enjoying the meteoric rise to the pool of highly respected bands, including support slots for Karnivool, COG, CHON (US) and world reknowned guitar maestro Plini.

Following on from the release of their fourth EP 'Of Agartha', 2022 saw Yomi Ship join Aus prog royalty for the Monolith Festival Tour, once again playing along side Karnivool, COG and Plini.

Recently in 2023, Yomi Ship joined SEIMS in supporting Delta Sleep on a national Australian Tour following the release of their latest single 'The Izouku' in September, listen to that below.
