We Lost The Sea Announce First Australian Tour Dates in Two Years

WE LOST THE SEA have announced their first shows in Australia in two years, taking place in April and May. Along with headline shows in Sydney & Melbourne, they will also join US legends BOTCH at the Brisbane stop of their world reunion tour.

The legendary instrumental six-piece spent much of 2022 and 2023 on the road in support of their fourth full-length 'Triumph & Disaster.' From touring sold out theatres with The Jezabels, to headlining sold out rooms across Australia, the UK and Europe, their live show has been met with a rapturous response by thousands of dedicated fans. Their 2022-23 tour also included stops at the UK's Damnation Festival, Germany's Gloomaar Festival and a co-headline set on the final night of Belgium's Dunk Festival, alongside Japanese luminaries MONO.

Support in Sydney and Melbourne comes from talented psych-rockers LUCID PLANET who themselves are coming off a sold out tour of east coast venues in late 2023.

In 2024, WE LOST THE SEA will debut new material on stage, as well as playing a selection of material from across their career, before returning to the studio to record their forthcoming fifth record.

Originally formed in 2008, the band have been through tragedy and triumph across a storied career. Seen by many as their comeback record after the loss of their frontman Chris Torpy in 2013, the band's 2015 record 'Departure Songs' is acclaimed as a high water mark for post-rock: it has amassed over 10 millions streams, sold over 8,000 copies worldwide and was featured in the Ricky Gervais series 'After Life'.
