Botch Announce Supports for First Ever Australian Tour

Legendary mathcore band BOTCH announced their first ever Australian tour for May last month and have now revealed the support acts for their shows.

Opening proceedings for the first night of the tour in Melbourne is DIPLOID. Recently returned from an extensive European tour, their grind/black/metal/hardcore/sludge/screamo has earned them plaudits including 'Best Heavy Album' from Music Victoria.

Joining for Melbourne's second night & in Adelaide will be none other than UK metal icons CONJURER. They will take their unique blend of sludge, doom and post-metal around the country in tandem with Botch, in their first visit since Hobart's Dark Mofo festival two years ago.

Support in Perth comes from local doom-jazz heavyweights TANGLED THOUGHTS OF LEAVING. Currently touring around Australia with another of Botch bassist Brian Cook's bands Russian Circles, the experimental piano-synth led quartet have attracted comparisons to Swans, The Dirty Three and noise merchants Sunn O))) amongst many others. Their latest album 'Oscillating Forest' was released in 2023.

Joining in Brisbane is post-rock sextet WE LOST THE SEA. The now legendary instrumental group wrapped up a massive two-leg European and UK tour in 2022 and 2023 in support of their latest record 'Triumph & Disaster.' Known for their emotional and intense live performances, this will mark their first Brisbane show in two years.

Opening both shows in Sydney are underground heroes LO! The sludge metal/crust band have toured extensively across their career, including shows alongside Cult of Luna and The Ocean. Their latest record 'The Gleaners' was released in 2023 and features their trademark blackened wares alongside thematics steeped in monstrous origins.
